It is always an honor to visit my alma mater, the University of Tennessee, and speak in sport management classes. My sports journalism journey began at UT in a communications course where we toured the studio, set and production of a live broadcast; so to return to a classroom where students have wide open opportunities is not only encouraging, but it is exciting.

We discussed various topics in sports journalism like live television, production crews, sideline reports, the importance of health and fitness, social media, and professional actions.

The excitement and feedback from students regarding their internships, volunteer experiences and jobs is impressive and exciting.
